TRACIONAMENTO DE SEGUNDO PRÉ-MOLARES SUPERIORES BILATERAIS

Resumo

A impacção de dentes permanentes é recorrente na prática odontológica. Geralmente, tais dentes estão associados à retenção prolongada de dentes decíduos, falta de espaço no arco, erupção ectópica ou ainda, envolvidos por cistos de origem odontogênica. Ainda que seja mais comum a impacção de terceiros molares e caninos, os pré-molares superiores devem receber devido atenção visando evitar futuras complicações caso permaneça retido. Quando estão bem direcionados no sentido de erupção, a indicação de tracionamento oferece bons resultados. O objetivo desse estudo é relatar um caso clínico de tracionamento orto-cirúrgico de pré-molares superiores impactados em decorrência da retenção prolongada dos antecessores decíduos em uma paciente de 14 anos. Primeiramente, foi instalado aparelho ortodôntico fixo, seguida da remoção cirúrgica dos dentes decíduos 55 e 65. Posteriormente, fixou-se a peça acessória (braquete) na coroa dos dentes 15 e 25 para o devido tracionamento. Ao final de 29 meses, a oclusão foi reestabelecida. Conclui-se com este trabalho que uma vez bem planejado, a combinação orto-cirúrgica garante bom prognóstico clínico e sucesso do tratamento proposto com restabelecimento estético-funcional.
